Test Cable Setup

Then, attach the Cat6A field termination plug to the Patch Cord Adapter on the remote end. Confirm that the Cat6A S/FTP horizontal cable is properly connected between both termination points.
Set Up the Test Limit
Start by going to the main menu and selecting 'Change Test'. Choose 'New Project' to create a fresh test configuration. Under the 'Test Setup' section, select the cable type as Cat 6A S/FTP. Next, navigate to the 'Test Limit' settings, click on 'More', locate the 'TIA' section, and choose the appropriate test standard—either Cat 6A MPTL (+PoE) for Power over Ethernet applications or Cat 6A MPTL for regular data-only connections. Once everything is set, return to the main screen and press "Test" to start the certification process.
Result Verification and Documentation
Upon test completion, carefully review the results for critical performance indicators including Insertion Loss, Return Loss, NEXT/ACR Crosstalk, Shield Continuity, and PoE capability (if applicable). Ensure that all values conform to ANSI/TIA-568.2-D standards, with particular attention to shield integrity when testing S/FTP cables. Once verified, save the test data and generate a comprehensive certification report for internal records or client submission.
